    Agapanthus ‘Ever Amethyst™’ is an exciting Agapanthus cultivar and is a popular choice for its amazing amethyst colored blooms, compact size, fast growth, and long flowering period.

    Ever Amethyst™ Lily of the Nile is a semi-dwarf perennial with multiple spikes of deep purple trumpet-shaped flowers clustered on 3-5 inch wide umbels held on dark, 20-24 inch tall stems. This reblooming Agapanthus is in full bloom in summer but scattered blooms may appear almost year-round. Tidy clumps of evergreen, strap-like glossy green leaves provide a nice backdrop for the brilliantly colored flowers.

    This waterwise Agapanthus hybrid is a compact plant with a vigorous growth habit, and is resistant to rot making it an excellent choice in the landscape. Ever Amethyst™ Lily of the Nile is perfect for borders, edging, and mass plantings. It looks beautiful in traditional, cottage, or modern garden styles and grows well in containers. Its semi-dwarf habit fits nicely in smaller gardens, balconies, or patios and the flowers can be used for cut flower arrangements. Attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, ‘Ever Amethyst™’ is perfect for the pollinator-friendly garden.

    Agapanthus ‘Ever Amethyst™’ is drought tolerant, resilient and resistant to rot. Its vivid violet flowers, vigorous growth, and extended blooming period with re-bloom throughout the year make it a great addition to any landscape. Ever Amethyst™ Lily of the Nile is easy to grow and low maintenance and is sure to be a standout in any garden.

    Plant care

    Ever Amethyst™ Lily of the Nile is tolerant of various soil types but requires well-draining soil. Plant your Agapanthus in a location with a minimum of 6 hours of full sun. Provide afternoon shade in hotter inland climates.

    Water soil deeply immediately after planting, then water regularly the first few weeks thereafter to help development of the root system. Reduce frequency once established. Drought tolerant once established.

    Ever Amethyst™ Lily of the Nile is low maintenance and only requires occasional pruning to remove old flower stalks after bloom. Clumps can be divided every 5-6 years.Fertilize in early spring for optimal growth.

    Agapanthus ‘Ever Amethyst™’ is evergreen in USDA zones 9-10. Winter hardy to 20°F

    Agapanthus ‘Ever Amethyst™’ (‘MP003‘) PP30163 is a patented Agapanthus cultivar, asexual reproduction is prohibited. The plant patent expires in 2037.
