Q: How many bags do I need for my plants?
A: One 2.0 cubic feet bag of Planting Mix will transplant 4 or 5 one-gallon plants; or amend a 20 sq. ft. area.
Q: Can I grow plants directly in G&B Organics Planting Mix?
A: G&B Organics Planting Mix was designed by Kellogg as a soil amending product to be mixed with the native soil found in gardens. It is not intended for use as a stand-alone product to grow plants.
Q: Is G&B Organics Planting Mix a sterilized mix?
A: Kellogg does not sterilize any of their soil products as this would kill all of the beneficial nutrients and microbes. It is however, composted in large piles that reaches temperatures over 1$30℉ during the natural decomposing process. This temperature is hot enough to kill any type of pests and weed seeds.
