Description

Grey French Lavender is similar to the regular species (L. dentata) but has soft grey leaves, is more robust, and easier to grow in a garden setting. Short spikes with rounded clusters of pale lavender-blue flowers bloom nearly year round. Flowers of Lavandula dentata candicans are not recommended for human consumption. A low-maintenance evergreen shrub best for open sunny borders, hedges, mass plantings and containers.

Plant Care

Plant in lean, slightly-alkaline, well-draining soil. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be cut back once established. Shear plant about half-way down after flowering to promote reblooming and to keep it bushy.
