Description

Santa Barbara Mexican Sage (Salvia leucantha 'Santa Barbara') is a compact form of 'Midnight' with deep violet flowers and calyces; both covered with fine hairs that create a velvety texture and appearance. A vigorous, compact mounding shrub with grey-green leaves and white hairy undersides.

Plant Care

Plant in loamy and moist soil with good drainage. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be reduced once established. Remove old blooms to promote more flowering. Hard prune and fertilize in late winter/early spring.
